End Point: Litchfield Park, AZ
Miles: 343
I just lost this blog... stupid technology... So, you're getting the short of it....
I went to the Petrified National Park today - and I'm glad I added an extra day to my trip to go.
Petrified wood has always perplexed me: its a rock... but its wood... but its a rock... hmmm....
The park was well done. Not much to see. Kind of just looked like boring landscapes with weird rocks strewn about. But I'm glad I went.
After a couple short hikes and pulling over at every pullout - it was time to get to Litchfield Park and return the rental car.
When I did, the guys behind the counter laughed! "Wow! You put some miles on that car!"
I just smiled - yup. 5,334.3 miles in 10 days. Woot!
Time to relax and spend time with some of my favorite people for a few days. Its like a vacation, from vacation!

A roadrunner posing for me
Route 66 landmark
Newspaper Rock - the highest concentration of petroglyphs in the area
Petrified log bridge... except for the concrete support beam...
